Hi! I am married to Laurie, and we have five kids. Our oldest, Caleb, is married to Hannah, and they are both currently serving in the US Marine Corps. Bethany is a music therapy major in Mississippi, and loves anything to do with music. Joel is a beginning student at Union University in Tennessee, and loves anything to do with cars. Grace will be in the fourth grade and loves critters and bugs. Sarah will be in the third grade and loves to dance.

My parents were active in church, so I started attending church as a baby. However, at a young age, I realized that going to church would not assure that I would go to heaven. I realized that I needed to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through the years, I have come to realize that, as in any relationship, my relationship with Christ can grow stronger, or if neglected, it can get weaker. My passion is leading people into a deeper relationship with the Lord. I enjoy reading and do some occasional writing. Having lived for many years around the world, both as a child and as an adult, I also enjoy observing various cultures and people.

I came to North Park as pastor in Dec, 2006 and am continually challenged to lead our church into ever deeper relationships with the Lord.
